Welcome
Welcome to Wattlebray Charbrays situated NE of Chinchilla on the Western Downs, owned and operated by Trevor and Lolita Ford and family who are third and fourth generation breeders of Charbray seed stock.
Wattlebray was established in 1995 founded on Eric & Joan Fords “EJ Charbray” genetics prior to that Eric`s father Stan bred under the “Wattlebra Charolais” prefix. This year we celebrate 30 years of breeding as Wattlebray and are very proud of how far we have come in those 30 years and believe our cattle now fit extremely well within our “Predictability & Consistency” mantra.
Consistency is key in any business but it doesn’t happen overnight, however gradual improvement and perseverance with careful genetic selection certainly forms the journey to it. We are constantly striving to improve our genetics and subsequently pass that predictability on via genetic gain to our client’s cattle to help them achieve their own goals.
Full proven pedigrees and constant selection criteria over the generations using Charbray sires is the reason our C5 & C6 sires will deliver you predictability and consistency every time.
Our emphasis is breeding predictable, consistent and functional Certified Charbrays. Breeding fertile bulls from fertile females through our “calf or carcass policy” and maintaining an efficient productive cow herd is our philosophy for success.
In herd performance recording, scan data, semen testing, J Bas 7 and vaccination with 3 Germ Blood, 3 Day Sickness, 7 in 1 and Botulism is our commitment to insure your sire delivers outstanding results.
Genetic gain equates to financial gain… Make It Count… With Predictable and Consistent Genetics… Invest in a Wattlebray sire today.
