  • Wattlebray Bulls 2015

Welcome

Wattlebray Charbrays is owned and operated by Trevor and Lolita Ford and family, third generation breeders of Charbray cattle.
Chinchilla on the Western Downs is the home to Wattlebray Charbrays with “Lone Starr” situated 35km North East of Chinchilla the base of the bull breeding operation and breeders run at “Oakleigh” 65km North East of Chinchilla and leased properties in the same district.
At Wattlebray our focus is breeding consistent, functional and predictable generation bred Charbrays while maintaining strong milk, growth, fertility, muscling, structural and temperament traits.
Wattlebray females are expected to conceive a pregnancy in a 12 week mating period with a calf at foot. Any female that is not pregnancy tested in calf or does not wean a calf is culled. Put simply it is “Calf or Carcass.”
Breeding fertile bulls from fertile females and maintaining an efficient productive cow herd is our philosophy for success.
In herd performance recorded EBV`s, Semen Testing and Vaccination with 3 Germ Blood, 3 Day Sickness, 5 in 1 and Botulism is our commitment to ensure your sire delivers outstanding results year after year.
Every kilogram on your steers and every pregnancy in your breeders is critical to maximise the financial benefits of the current market conditions ………. Make It Count ……… with the Right Genetics for your herd ………… Invest in a Wattlebray sire today.
Bulls are offered annually at the National Charbray Bull & Female Sale conducted at CQLX Gracemere in September each year, as well as privately on property.
