Welcome to Wattlebray Charbrays situated NE of Chinchilla on the Western Downs, we are extremely pleased with our draft of 15 quality sires for this 42nd National Charbray Sale.
Included in this draft are three powerhouse sons by the ever consistent Huntington Hagos, you really must admire these sires for their depth, thickness and overall softness. Huntington Fashionable who needs no introduction in breeding powerful polls has another four impressive lots on offer. We also present the first eight sires by Huntington Lovell who is producing strong even muscled and smooth coated cattle.
Following a successful show season and producing the sale top for Wattlebray Marshall at $24000 in 2018, we decided to keep punching forward and promoting our stud but most importantly the breed in 2019, at Jandowae, Wandoan, Dalby, Kingaroy, Miles and Chinchilla shows, competing strongly at all events.
Our emphasis is on breeding consistent, predictable and functional cattle with strong milk, growth, fertility, temperament traits. Wattlebray females are expected to conceive in a 12 week mating period with a calf at foot. Breeding fertile bulls from fertile females through our “Calf or Carcass policy” is our philosophy for success.
